Throughout studying photography, there was a lot of time spent in studio spaces, whether this was photographing people or objects. I found that I much preferred using studio spaces for more intimate photographs where the photographer is trying to capture one specific image.

Using studio space was very insightful on lighting and placing. With ambient lighting, I find it easier to work with the camera's ISO as you don't have to worry about the light changing as you would with natural lighting.

I have used a range of different lighting and equipment whilst in the studio including: LED; tungsten; fluorescent; ring light; umbrella lighting; flash heads; wireless trigger; light stands; soft box; snoot and honeycomb; reflectors; colour gels.

I mainly focus on capturing portraits in studio space as it allows you to capture every detail and not have distraction. I also work better with digital photography which works well in a studio space.
