Richard Billingham:
Richard Billingham is a documentary photographer, who is mainly known for his work 'Rays a laugh'. This work shows his beautiful yet non beautiful relationship with his father. He has done other works, all which focus around documentary. His work has had a huge influence on my photography because I love how he photographs his subject matters and the authenticity to each image. Although a lot of his work is shot using film and mine is digitally shot, his work influences me to be encouraged to shoot using film. I feel like it creates a more personal tone to the photograph.
Richard's work heavily influenced my project in my second year of photography as I did a project around my grandmother and the relationship we have. Fortunately I was lucky enough to meet Richard Billingham this year which was an honour.
